Available COVID-19 Tests

Our centers currently offer the following COVID-19 tests:

PCR nasal swab

Average turnaround time: 1-3 days. No appointments needed.
These specimens are processed by outside labs such as Quest or Labcorp and have a sensitivity (ability to correctly identify those with COVID-19) greater than 98%.

Rapid nasal swab antigen test

Turnaround time: 1-2 hours, depending on volume at testing center. No appointments necessary.
We use the BD Veritor System for rapid detection of SARS-CoV-2 antigens and the Access Bio CareStart COVID-19 Antigen test. Both tests have been authorized by the FDA under an Emergency Use Authorization.
These tests are done on site and have a sensitivity of 84%.

Turnaround time: average 48 hours, no appointments needed

Will My Insurance Cover COVID-19 Testing?
Per the CARES Act, most insurances have announced that they will cover the full cost of any testing or treatment for COVID-19. However, please contact your individual plan to verify coverage for any COVID-19 testing at AM/PM Urgent Care with Englewood Health. Any inquiries regarding lab bills should be directed to the lab. No, you do not need a doctor’s referral to be tested for COVID-19 at any of our locations. AM/PM Urgent Care with Englewood Health offers convenient, walk-in viral testing and evaluations without requiring a prior order from a primary care physician. We welcome walk-ins daily, or you can check-in online to save time before your visit.
When Should I Seek Medical Attention for COVID-19?
If you are experiencing mild to moderate symptoms such as a persistent fever, cough, sore throat, or mild wheezing, you should seek medical attention at AM/PM Urgent Care with Englewood Health. Our team can evaluate your symptoms, provide testing, and determine if you are eligible for antiviral treatments. Should I Get Tested for COVID-19?
Many people who get the Coronavirus only develop minor symptoms, or in some cases never show symptoms at all. If you do not have insurance and are a self-pay patient, please contact AM/PM Urgent Care with Englewood Health your nearest office location directly to confirm current self-pay pricing and options before your visit.

COVID Test For Travel

If you are planning to travel outside of the country, you are going to need to get a COVID PCR test for travel that will identify you do not currently have COVID-19. This test needs to be done no more than three days before you travel by air in the US, and the airline will require that you show proof of your negative results before they let you board the flight.
